What is a target group and how many target groups exist?

A target group is a group of students/academic staff having the same characteristics regarding the institution/country of origin and/or personal situation. There are 3 target Groups, as follows:

TARGET GROUP 1

Currently registered student/staff at a partner University

Only for students and academic staff who are currently registered (either working or studying) at a partner university. The partner universities are:

Iran

§	University of Tehran

§	Shahid Beheshti University

§	Islamic Azad University

§	Shiraz University

§	Ferdowsi University of Mashhad

§	Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz

Iraq

§	University of Duhok

§	University of Mosul

§	University of Baghdad

Yemen

§	Ibb University

§	Sana’a University

§	Thamar University

Note that you must provide documents that prove you are currently enrolled in one of the universities member of the Partnership.

TARGET GROUP 2
Student or staff currently NOT registered at a partner university / Other

Target group 2 – Citizens of Iran, Iraq or Yemen, enrolled in (or having obtained a university degree from) a higher education institution of these countries that is not a partner University. Also for applicants who have finished their degree at a partner university (Table 1) and are no longer enrolled in one. The scholarship is also open for those who are working in public administration, public and private enterprises.

TARGET GROUP 3

Refugee

To apply for target group 3 you must have a citizenship from Iran, Iraq or Yemen. You also have to fulfill at least one of the following requirements:

§	have a refugee status (UN document) or asylum beneficiary

§	have been the object of unjustified expulsion from a university on racial, ethnic, religious, political, gender or sexual inclination grounds

§	belong to an indigenous population targeted by a specific national policy

How many types of individual mobility flows exist?

There are 5 types:
